One day after work, I visited a bank in Stuttgart known for its coin sales department. This place is a point of attraction for collectors and precious metal investors.
The very first display case at the entrance showcases a selection of investment silver. It features coins from various countries, including England and Canada. The price for one such coin is 28 euros. Besides coins, small silver bars can also be seen in the same display case.
| Item | Price |
| 25 Kopecks 1857 (Russia) | 390 € |
| Thaler (Germany) | 250 - 650 € |
| 5 Marks (Germany, uncirculated) | 330 € |
| 3 Marks (Prussia, with patina) | 90 € |
| 5 Marks (Bavaria, poor condition) | 35 € |
The main collection of historical coins is located behind glass display cases. Unfortunately, the cashier was already closed on the day of the visit, so making a purchase was impossible, but I was able to examine the selection closely. Among the items on display were Chinese 'Pandas' and many old German coins.
The bulk of the collection consists of silver coins from various German principalities, mostly thalers. There are also coins from other countries, for example, a Russian 25 kopecks from the time of Alexander II. Prices for historical silver vary over a wide range.
The collection includes interesting specimens, such as a beautiful 5-mark coin in uncirculated condition for 330 euros or a 3-mark Prussian coin with a vibrant 'fiery' patina for 90 euros.

Unlike the silver coins, which are predominantly German, the bank's collection of gold coins boasts a much wider geography. It features specimens from all over the world, including some rather exotic countries.
The only coins related to Russian history were the gold 10 and 20 markkaa from Russian Finland. Their prices are 480 euros and 840 euros, respectively. Previously, the bank had more Russian coins, but their selection has diminished over time.

In addition to individual collectible items, the bank offers investment packages of coins and precious metal bars for purchase. These packages are sets of coins sold by weight.
The bank also offers a wide selection of gold and silver bars. Their cost is not fixed and changes daily depending on the current market prices for precious metals, to which a small bank premium is added.
