Decorative Plates
Among the finds at the flea market, you can discover interesting decorative plates. For example, a souvenir plate from Italy with the inscription 'Carretto Siciliano,' depicting a traditional Sicilian cart. On the back of such tableware, you can sometimes find the manufacturer's mark.
Another notable piece is a plate in a metal frame with a reproduction of a painting. The back indicates the artist's name, Francesco Zuccarelli (1702–1788), and the title of the work—'Landscape with a Mill.' Such items, intended for wall decoration, are not often found.
Other types of decorative tableware also appear, such as a large oval platter with the 'Porcelane di Bavilla' mark. It depicts a scene with fishermen on the seashore, making it unusual and attractive to collectors.
Collectible Dolls and Toys
At flea markets, you can find antique porcelain dolls. One such example is a large harlequin doll whose face, hands, and feet are made of porcelain. A special feature of this doll is its sad facial expression with a painted tear, giving it a melancholic look.
Besides dolls, you can also find vintage toy sets. For example, a children's porcelain tea set in its original box, including a coffee pot and several cups. In the past, such toys were made from real materials, not plastic, which introduced children to aesthetics from an early age.
You can also see collectible dolls in national costumes from different countries for sale. Among them are figures in Spanish attire, such as a toreador doll.
Home and Interior Items
The flea market's assortment includes many items for the home. Among them, you can find both modern and vintage pieces. For example, an elegant French-made candlestick with a black ceramic base, preserved in its original packaging.
For table setting, you can come across charming vintage accessories like a metal toast rack. There are also unusual items, such as a beer dispenser shaped like a trophy, intended for football fans.
On the shelves, you can also see more modern items, like 3D glasses for watching movies. You might also find old wooden cabinets whose shelves are lined with bright, floral-patterned adhesive film—a popular way to update furniture in the past.
Ceramics and Glass
The market offers a wide selection of ceramic and glass items. Among them, vintage beverage containers, which were once popular gifts, stand out. Such items include:
- A flask for cognac or liqueur from the Limoges manufactory, shaped like a map of Corsica, with a stopper in the form of Napoleon's bust.
- A Limoges container shaped like an apple, likely intended for apple cider.
- Various glass decanters and bottles, including those for XO cognac.
Additionally, on the shelves, you can find many handmade ceramic pitchers and vases. Some are from different regions and countries, such as a pitcher with the inscription 'Valle d'Aosta' or a souvenir pitcher from Corsica. These items are distinguished by their unique painting and shape.
Serving Dishes
Among the serving dishes, you can find both individual items and complete sets. Various sauce boats are often available: round, boat-shaped, with floral ornaments, or with a strict geometric pattern. One of them bears the 'Veritable Porcelaine' mark.
You can also find fruit bowls on a pedestal. For example, an antique Limoges fruit bowl with a geometric pattern in pink and gray tones, which has been preserved in perfect condition. Other variations are also found, with a lower pedestal or floral decor.
On the shelves, you can also find unusual items, such as a cheese board with a woven insert and a special knife, or a vintage coffee set with an original design. The selection of tableware at the flea market is often large, but the most interesting pieces are quickly snapped up.
